Mark and I answered a number of questions from the mailbag.

I really enjoyed talking with Devon. She has been active in investing and entrepreneurial space in Southern California for many years. She is Past President of  Los Angeles Venture Association and sits on the board. She also encounters many entrepreneurs through Blaine Communications a Marketing Communications, Public Relations and Branding company located in Beverly Hills CA. We got to talk about a number of things on both the investor and entrepreneur sides of things. I hope you enjoy it too.

I thought it would be appropriate to replay the interview that I did with Eric Butz to follow last week's interview with Mark Burton. It seems that the Legal and Medicinal Marijuana industry has a lot in common with the Vaping Industry. I think we are going to hear more about these industries as the evolve.

I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my partners at CalCap, Mark Burton, on a subject near and dear to him, the Vaping Industry. Mark has become an authority and quite well known around the industry. He looks at it from a couple of perspectives. For example, from the investor standpoint being part of CalCap, there are funding opportunities. Alternatively, he is actively working within the industry and the entrepreneurs who are participating in the industry. I learned a lot from this interview.

Today I have two really good and very different interviews. In the first segment, I talk with Judge Herb Dodell about the use and potential problems associated with restraining orders. He is in the process of writing a book on the subject due out next year. I learned an awful lot during this interview. 

In the second part, I talk with Greg Solomon with Primary Funding Corp providing various types of debt funding to companies in Southern California. Greg also talks about what he is seeing in the entrepreneur environment.

On this show, I have interviews with two Founder CEO's who are making great strides in Southern California. 

Jeff Fildey is the CEO of GoForms who provide a complete mobile forms and reporting solution so customers can eliminate paper forms and collect data electronically. They are fast growing and venture backed. 

Janet Lienhard is the CEO of Virtual Instructor where she has significantly improved the student experience with online training. She combines traditional instructor led with computer assisted to provide a better learning experience. The other thing that students like about her programs they are classes are only about 1 to 1.5 hours long.

Akiva talks about his journey to get The Cookie Department, Inc up and running especially since his cookies have extra benefits like vitamins, minerals and other healthy ingredients. Currently in a number of higher end stores. 

I did a reprise of one of Mark Burton's sessions on Mergers and Acquisitions. I hope you enjoy hearing Mark again.

On this show, I had an opportunity to interview my son, Eric, about the emerging and potentially exploding legal and medicinal marijuana industry. Eric has been hosting his own radio show on Blog Talk Radio, Potstock Radio where he and a small group of investors talk weekly about this evolving industry. They also interview notables from the industry and leaders of some of the top companies involved in the industry. I was quite surprised about how this industry is evolving and learned a lot during our conversation.

John Nelson of California Capital Partners opens the show with a continuation of the Family Office conversation with an investor view of the Family Office environment.

In the second segment, I have a conversation with Bill Waldo who is multi-faceted with his own consulting practice, Vantages Business Consulting where he helps entrepreneurs get ready to look for financing, is on screening committee for Tech Coast Angels, and provides counseling for companies through TriTech Small Business Development Center in Irvine.

On this show, the topic is on Family Offices both Single Family and Multiple Families. 

Stan Sung is the Founder of GENRICH Multi Family Office. Stan open up with a description of Family Offices and the benefits of being involved in one. He provides insight into the how and why of Family Offices and just how prevalent they are.

In the second segment, both Stan and John Nelson of California Capital Partners continue the conversation of Family Offices.
